Workshops, events… and other fun!
My storytelling events always go down well and are based around original tales, fresh from my own imagination!
I also tailor-make different creative workshops to suit individual requirements.
I’m always happy to discuss new ideas, so do get in touch.
Take a peek at some of the fun I’ve had so far…

World Book Week: touring local primary schools, and introducing children to a brand new book COMING SOON!
Special Projects: [Click photo for link} Wallington Hall, National Trust. I am thrilled to have worked upon some very unique and special projects with the artist Rachael Sligo. Our first children's story is perfectly displayed in the very place that inspired the idea - the walled garden. The team at Wallington have done a wonderful job in creating this special space!

Interactive story-time... Youngsters are encouraged to join in and have fun!

Bookshop Event, where visitors had "the most magical day".

Book Festival Event... what a fantastic day!

Creative Writing... I love encouraging children to be creative and to 'pick up the pen' too. I have carried out various writing workshops, each one using unique and special story material, created by me.

School Storytime... I always feel very happy visiting local schools to share my stories and creative ideas. (Above: What an amazing reading chair! It has pride of place in one of the school libraries I have been to).

Book signing!... I always chat about my inspiration as an author, and how youngters may like come up with their own ideas.

Nature is key! So much of what I write is inspired by nature, and this beautiful garden at Wallington Hall was the perfect place to share a special story.

Special Places. New Material! This workshop took place in a magical woodland setting - the perfect place for my mission (to encourage youngsters to gain inspiration from their surroundings). This story was based on a very special tree.

The Woodland Yurt, Wallington Hall. A magical, seasonal story took place here, followed by some wonderful crafty fun!

Feel empowered! ... I love encouraging people to get involved with the themes of my stories, and show them that THEY have the power to do wonderful things.

Tailor made activity options, created for a Summer workshop.

When a young visitor's creation is better than your own! (Participants took home some wonderful keepsakes after these sessions).

These little seed packets were a lovely addition to a workshop, and tied in well with my motto... 'your mind is a garden, that never stops growing!'

'Phil the Pheasant", created by the amazingly talented Rachael Sligo ('Phil' is one of my favourite characters from our first book, and he's been a popular character with children).

COMING UP! Participants at my workshops also get to hear first hand from a writer, about what it has been like to create a book together with a children's illustrator... and about the exciting plans that we have coming up.
